– Geoforce, Inc., was named to the Fast Tech Award listing Friday, August 23 at the Metroplex Technology Business Council’s Tech Titans Awards Gala. The award presentation – sponsored by Travis Wolff, LLP, Comerica Bank and the Dallas Business Journal – revealed the list of the 35 fastest growing technology companies in the DFW Metroplex, as well as their ranking. This represents the second consecutive year that Geoforce has earned a spot on this prestigious list.
“With 168% growth from 2010 to 2012, we are pleased to announce Geoforce placed number 15 on the list,” said Vincent Hsieh, CFO of Geoforce. “This award is a tribute to the passion, dedication, and customer-centric mentality of our team.”
Geoforce is positioning for high growth for a long time to come. In the past year, Geoforce has acquired Sypes Canyon Communications to bolster its product development capabilities, opened their first international subsidiary in Macae, Brazil, to serve the booming oil & gas market there, and grew their employee roster by over 30%. As well as being named to the Fast Tech list, Geoforce is proud to say that President & CEO, James MacLean III, was named a finalist for the TECH TITANS: Emerging Company CEO Award.
In its 13th year, the Fast Tech Award honors the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, based on revenue growth from 2010 to 2012. The ranking is compiled from nominations submitted directly to the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), and through independent research using publicly available information conducted by the MTBC, Travis Wolff, LLP and Comerica Bank.
“At the MTBC, we keep our finger on the pulse of what is happening in the tech industry in North Texas,” said Bill Sproull, President and CEO of the MTBC. “These fast growing companies are what makes our technology industry so vibrant…keep your eyes on them!”
