Geoforce and Orca Oceanic Systems (OOS) Announce Expanded Premier Partnership at Offshore Europe 2019
Elevation of Orca to Premier Partnership status opens additional Sales Channels – and enhanced on the ground support – for Geoforce’s Satellite-Based Asset Tracking Solutions in the offshore market.
Dallas, TX, USA and Aberdeen, Scotland, UK – September 3, 2019 — Geoforce, the leading provider of satellite asset tracking solutions for global oilfield operations, and OOS, today announced the designation of OOS as a Premier Partner to help make Geoforce’s products more accessible to offshore oil and gas customers located in Aberdeen and other areas of EMEA.
Geoforce has long had robust business in offshore operations in the North Sea, as well as other strategic basins around the world. Geoforce’s tracking devices can be found every day in equipment yards, quaysides, supply vessels, drilling rigs and production platforms. Geoforce’s reputation for offshore quality has been burnished by years of performance in the industry, including examples such as 96 Days at the Bottom of the Gulf.
Orca and now OOS have been a reseller of Geoforce’s products for nearly two years. Under the new agreement, as a Premier Partner, OOS also now becomes a Sales and Consulting Agent for Geoforce. This allows customers to purchase Geoforce products in local currency with OOS as the vendor, or from Geoforce directly in USD – with OOS providing sales support and implementation expertise.
“The team at OOS has a legacy of supporting some of the most innovative and challenging offshore projects globally,” said Geoforce VP of Business Development, Henry Rosen. “We are very excited to strengthen our relationship and to provide more offshore customers the access to OOS’s expertise.”
Greig Masson, Business Development Director of OOS, said, “Geoforce is known throughout the global offshore industry for its solutions. Following the accidental submergence of a GT1 in salt water for nearly 100 days in over 15m of water Orca carried out a battery of tests at the National Hyperbaric Centre (NHC) on both the GT1 and GT0 to a depth of 200m thus confirming that Geoforce tags do not need to be removed prior to subsea deployment, which is a huge benefit Orca has also seen the need for equipment tracking among both our existing customers – as well as the broader offshore market. We’re excited to add asset tracking to our offshore expertise.”
